Is this area suitable for growing veg?
I have an area that I'd like to use to grow veg in two or three raised beds: asparagus, plus salad, the Asian veg that I find it hard to buy, and lots of fresh peas.  The area is long and relatively narrow, with a cultivable width of about a metre by Laura Corin

eucalyptus
Our David Austin roses threw out an arm of black spot (aimed at the eucalyptus) and it almost seems they fungally infected our euc as he had been fine for 3 years and was growing nicely into a tree. Does anyone else have experience of such a cross by violet green

I want to make an all rose flower bed. It's a kidney shaped bed (max 5.4 m long x 2m wide) in the middle of a south facing lawn.  Ideally I would like fairly low growing roses, probably pink, easy to care for and with some scent. I'm a complete by rosiehelenmac

Choosing a rose!
flowering English climbing rose with a strong scent, producing a number of basal stems and putting on quite a bit of growth in its first season.  If anyone has any experience of growing the following roses, I would welcome your comments: A Shropshire Lad by happycottontail

Roses - please help if you can.....
/Sweet_Dream_Cream.html/ I find that some patio roses are better off used as 'ground cover' as they are inclined to sprawl rather than grow upright - especially if they are hard pruned as 'growth follows the knife' i.e. the harder you prune them the more they grow.   If you by Lucy3

Support for roses
? The roses are less than a foot tall now but will grow again to over five feet tall. Do I use individual stakes with tree type ties in three places on the stems, or hoop style supports so that the roses lean on them - and what height hoops would I need if I by Sandy 3
