Talkback: Growing herbs
one with pink flowers succumbed to the frost. Garlic and rosemary just transform roast potatoes. Thyme likes to grow in crazy paving and sage bushes always look good as well as going well with onions in stuffing. I have a lovely plant of Lady's Smock by Margaret

Bee friendly plants for hanging baskets
most wildlife-friendly plants! You could try herbs such as thyme, chives, rosemary, sage, mint and marjoram etc which are good for beneficial insects and useful in the kitchen.  Lavender is always a winner, and I found that the bees were attracted to gazania by Bowdeeka

Herbs dying
Has anyone else been having trouble with herbs this year?  I grow mine in containers - mint, oregano, feverfew etc - and almost all of them have had diseased leaves, poor growth and when the sun finally did arrive last week, scorched leaves.  Even by jalcinto

Herb border
growing so won't take over.  Rosemary is also evergreen and lives quite a while if it is happy with soil conditions.  Sage has lovely blue flowers and can also last for several years if cut back when it gets leggy.  Bees go crazy for any of the thymes. Oh by garjobo

Talkback: Asparagus beetles
. Chrysolina species. There is a lovely one on garden and water mint, Chrysolina herbacea (formerly called C. menthastri) but if it is on rosemary, sage or lavender it is C. americana, the rosemary leaf beetle. See this link:http://www.gardenersworld.com/how by bunnysgarden
