Creeping thyme (Thymus serpyllum)
used thyme,oregano,sage and rosemary put them in a mug chopped them up with scissors added some butter and combined it all and put it under the skin of the breast of the chicken we had for dinner. We had that with roasted veg it was yummy. Hope your by chellie

Salvia Sclarea
Hi everyone. This self seeded salvia is growing in my front garden.There are just 2 plants and as you can see it is quite eye catching .   It has grown to about 4ft 6"since the spring. I think it is Salvia Sclarea, Turkstanica, but I am not sure. I by lovetogarden

and the divisions replanted. Thanks for that nutcutlet and gardening grandma and verdun   what is the self layered cuttings? Self layered cuttings are where a stem has grown along the ground and rooted. Purple sage does it very often and I found 3 layered stems by Gardengirl..

Talkback: Growing veg in shade
Sorrel is lovely crop to grow in shade, even dry shade. In my garden it grows under a clematis montana which grows under an ornamental cherry. It requires no real attention and produces tangy, lemony, tender, heart shaped salad leaves by Pink Heather

Scented flowers
the colour as well.    My fave rave at the moment is Daphne bholua 'Jaqueline Postill', beloved by Roy Davison. It's a slow growing semi-evergreen that will get to 6ft. They are devilishly expensive (£30-60) but will reward you for weeks with their waxy very by David Hurrion
