Talkback: Growing salad crops
often mix some with Baby Gem leaves to have with salmon and hollandaise sauce or a sharp vinaigrette   We love salads and I always grow a wee tapestry of green Cos and red oak leaf lettuce in spring and summer.  Looks good and tastes good as well by patricia nicholls

been on them from a feed point of view. Did chard as well and that worked as well I do love growing salad in pots, but the aphids seem to find it quickly no matter where I put them. How do you keep them away? I would not be without them, Pippa. You by James Hunter

could grow salad in my cold frame, BUT here in NEW BYTH we can't even think of using the cold frame until the end of April earliest. By the way New Byth is 6 miles outside of TURRIFF, but the weather is nothing like TURRIFFS. by Rita Anderson

What veg and salad can I grow completely indoors?
I must start immediately.  unless you hyave somewhere theyw ill get light directly above and around, not just from one sied like on a windowsill, that can be rather difficult! A lot of leaf salads -lettuce,radishes,spring onions-you could try by Bob Flowerjuice
