confused..
, maybe because the soil is acid/sandy, on the edge of a heath?) Even the spinach beet and lettuce from seed did really well. The usual advice is to grow food that's expensive rather than cheap to buy, but I got huge satisfaction from feeding my family of four with my own by lisa berry

Possible to sow more peas and beans
(junglseeds)  The purple podded plants are about 5ft tall and don't seem to want to stop growing.    Aslo have Pea Sugar Snap(simply seed) and pea's 'early onward' (Wilko's) these are at least 4ft tall and in flower. I've picked the imature pods to encourage more flowers by lesinnl

Clay soil problem
and fertiliser but make your own compost to augment animal manure.  I can grow anything I want in my garden ,even things that like acid soil by careful placing of trees whose leaves break down to acidify the soil .  Start with robust plants like potatoes.  look by L0la

Talkback: Cow parsley
://ryans-garden.blogspot.com) Just a word of warning - if you're growing carrots, get rid of the cow parsley - as far as I know it attracts the blighters. Hurrah - when I saw you'd posted on this, I immediately thought 'Cow Mumble', so it's great to see you've linked to HM's post by HappyMouffetard
