Growing Lillies in containers
up as they grow -like earthing up potatoes As they are small bulbs-all the same?-put them in a container say 8 inches in diameter should they be able to see light. i.e dont cover them completely and do i grow indoors? No -they are hardy-need to grow by David 25

experiences with free offers of plants
most of these are growing, 9 out of 21 show no signs of life. Maybe I have not dealt with them in the right way, or maybe I am unlucky, but I do have a reasonably successful garden. I would say that the instructions that come with the plants are not all by Jennie McWalter

Viburnum macrocephalum.
to members for free I don't know if this is any help Jean but my snowball bush had a low growing branch which rooted in the ground like a strawberry runner.  I then cut it off and transplanted it elsewhere in the garden and is now growing quite happily by jean riley

using ash from wood and brickettes in the garden
