Get thrifty
used to make bordered beds.. More skip diving!   I use the toilet roll inners to start my carrots , parsnips and leeks,most of the people on my allotment site had trouble growing ( or not growing as it turned out these, partly because the soil by Daniel Haynes

Is it ever going to STOP!!!!
I am getting very very cross at this weather!!!   Everything in the garden is retarded...The dreaded blight got to the first earlies so up they came  on the plus side  they were very nice... The runners wont grow properly  they just start then stop by susan howard2

Plants still in flower?
to wake up in May so has done it now!  Never ever seen that before In our walled garden Melianthus major is coming into flower, We have Gazanias,fuschias and allysum in full bloom as well as masses of strawberries on our hanging baskets! We have Valerian by Kate Bradbury

new years resolution
 gardens don't thrive so well without these comfort breaks. My New Year resolutions are to not over crowd the GH with to many plants. Remember to sow veg seeds regularly and not give up by June. Have a mixed strawberry bed and try growing pineberries again from by flowering rose

Help - Total Beginner
with tarpaulin. This seems to be dong the trick so far (it's been covered since August 2012). My question: does anyone have any tips about what I could grow, where to start and what to do? I love gardening (that I've experienced so far) and really want to get by Tim Underwood
