Grass solutions
wrote (see) There may have been too much soil covering the grass - it is normally sown virtually on the surface. If the seed was buried, then it doesn't have much chance, and will rot, I'd have throught. Grass seeds are not like things like sweet peas by Stevie 2

just sown my peas and tomatoes indoors (The tomatoes from the new BBc's dig in campain). Everything is starting to look good now, hopefully by next week the shoots will have started to apear. does anyone know if i can sow sweet corn in the cold frame by northernwindowgardener

Are Morrisons bulbs any good ??
this summer, try planting Sweet Peas. You can just plant them around your clematis. It takes quite a long time for a clematis to cover a trellis and, depending on the size of the trellis, some will never get big enough - you'd need more than one. There's quite by Lavender Lady

spring though I've still got Sweet Peas flowering away, I haven't seen any bulbs coming up thank goodness. I try to put the garden to bed for the winter but plants just keep on going. I have been very worried over my Spring bulbs, as they have all by kathryn.brock

help? Things to plant now are broad beans and peas (but not mangetout yet). Also beetroot, parsnip and early carrot varieties can go in now. Shallots, onions sets and garlic can go in now (last chance now for garlic as normally they go in in the spring by super mum

plants are buzzing with insects and beg or buy one of those. I tried to grow Marmande for the second year in pots in a different area of my garden but they also got blight. I am hoping that it has not spread to my other varieties which unfortunately were by supernanny

had to leave it out this year....seems a bit odd!I won the battle against snails eating my lupin...I had to bring into the house everynight...it is now growing...pellets and egg shells never helped...I grew sweet peas in my mini green house...they died by hereisabee
