keeping mice off pea seeds
.When growing well....couple of weeks....I will remove fleece.I have tried the growing peas in guttering technique but it's flawed. Peas do transplant without problem if done without too much disrurbance Raisins are good in mouse traps. I get mice in my by tulipgirl

. This spring I am having a new hall runner and the old one(83years old) is being recycled up-side down as a compostable path in the veg. plot as it is all natural fibre. I am growing runner beans and sweet peas in toilet roll tubes at present and are growing by LGNOTTS

Wedding flowers for September
maybe oranges and yellows would be suitable for the month. Have you got any idea of plugs to grow. Thank you for your ideas. I think Sarah Raven has Dahlias on sale this weekend. Chrysanthemums is a possibility,dahlias definitely,sweet peas. by Pricey

Cut Flowers for September Wedding Bouquet?
in purples, whites, greens and maybe a little blue. I'm not a fan of pinks and peach colours. I love lavender and sweet peas (they remind me of my Grandma's garden as a child). I already have a good varety of French and English Lavender that I will be using by Rachel Helen

Growing seeds
recycle! The clear plastic supermarket meat trays make great covers for seed trays, use loo roll inners filled with compost are brill for peas, beans and sweet peas etc and plant them tube and all. Dont start too early March is soon enough, if not you by Supernanauna

Talkback: Growing salad crops
as bringing different textures.   I also grow radicchio but this year I'm branching out and growing various salad mixes.  I use rocket on its own occasionally but more often as a highlight.  Beetroot leaves are good and pea shoots too.   Baby spinach leaves by patricia nicholls

Suitable plants for shallow trough
place to grow alpines, in gritty soil. They will not need to be watered very much and there are some very colourful ones available. At the moment I have some lovely yellow ones and pink ones in flower. I would suggest pansies, sweat peas or honeysuckle by jwsiharris

morning glory seedlings
for sweet peas.  Whatever you do, don't put them out until the last frosts in May.   You could start hardening them off by moving them outside by day but always bring them in at night.  They really don't like to get cold. I've gardening for years, but never by Lynda Twigge
