Geraniums not flowering
and encourage them to flower? They have also been potted on and have already put on lots of leaf growth, I have some geraniums that I grow for their scented leaves and they have miniscule flowers.  What did you feed them with? I use a tomato feed which mine seem by Lesley 4

it Verd. I expect it also depends how much you grow and what your own conditions are. Tomatoes are better inside here because of our weather but I've not really had issues with pests....so far  I have grown summer savory this year - supposed to deter black by Verdun

Help! Save my Tomatoes!
Some of my tomato plants have died, with others the leaves are going white and dry at the ends - are they short of some nutrient? I grew them from seed with these all in one compost plugs then planted them up in specialsed compost for bringing by Ruth Turner

tomatoes-growbags or not growbags?
Can anybody tell me whether it is a better idea to grow tomatoes outside in a growbag or, can the crop be just as good, if you grow directly into the ground. The crop can be better if they're planted directly into the ground, as long as the soil by artychris

! Robyn If the childen are young they will have no patience in my experience and will want things that grow quickly -tomatoes outside are going to be long time growing before ripening-could be as late as the end of August,beans might be fine but again you by pinkboat

over the past 2 or 3 years my tomato only develope fruit that is very small ie. sometimes as small as a pea. does not seem to make a differance if it is a normal size or a miniture variety. If you have fresh seed, fresh compost provide the right by les finch

What doe Hybrid F1 mean on a seed packet
. Thankyou  Heritage varieties are open pollinated.  Tomatoes are naturally self-pollinating so you can collect the seed  and grow the varieties again and again. To produce the F1 seeds the companies will have to keep the parents from year to year by Sam Glendinning

Hot Beds.
in the way when I'd potted on the seedlings and needed the space. It sank quite a bit as it rotted down. Afterwards I watered it from time to time then spread it over the greenhouse bed to grow the tomatoes in the following year. by cowslip2
