Thanks soooo much for the advice here on tomatoes. we have suffered for the last three years with the growing of tomatoes. At the moment we have plants that have Blossom End Rot and also Leaf Mould. At least now we can get it right for next year by tenerifetel

this time of year. No blight at all on my outside tomatoes after two blighty years - gloriana! I've still got Cara growing. Masses of new stems came after the drought conditions broke. not a sign of blight yet. i have lots of green toms, could i have your by WarwickshireDrooper

. at horticultural shows as it was a forcing house! Your trial would be interesting but not wise as , when your crop takes goodness out of the soil you must replace it. Better to give the tomatoes a rest for a year(grow them outside) and grow beans whose nodules by happymarion

arthritis rather than red tomatoes. I love Roma tomatoes, but won't grow them again as they are a bush variety. As you say, blight is terrible and it's necessary to spray, but it's very hard to spray plants which are thick with foliage carrying dozens by bobnmal

is not tomato it is just an excuse that bad tomato grower use to claim they are growing tomatoes 5. tomato plants in pot need to be fertized more often then those grown in ground.6. the temp of the water used to water the plant should at least 24 c.I would by Anonymous

help with tomatoes please.
Hello  my son has given me some tomatoes to grow they are about 8 inches tall and i have just put them in larger pots. I remeber when my mum used to grow them she used to 'pinch out' the leaves but i cant remember why or how does anyone else do by honeypot2

last years compost
I grow potatoes and tomatoes and cucumbers in pots and grobags abd potato bags and hanging baskets every year .At the end of the season I am left with half full bags pots etc of compost which I usually put on the garden.I am struggling to find more by bartonr

My tomatoes are healthy but just keep producing lots of leaf but not much fruit. What am I doing wrong Overfeeding them.  Plants make fruit if the 'think' there is a likelyhood of their dying.  If you keep feeding it, the plant will keep on growing by Dragonfly2

to "pinching out"tomatoes - it all depends on the type of tomato that you are growing.  Those which are best trained to prevent them from using up their energy in side shoots, should have the shoots that develop where leaves branch from the main stem removed by Mizz
