think even Box likes some sun. Something that grows about 3ft tall would look good, but I realise that the shaded aspect means I may have to settle for something like Hostas or ferns?  Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks They are lovely pots  I have by LeadFarmer

Talkback: Reasons to be cheerful (Part one)
We've not had to top up our ponds, planting can still continue, fucshias are flourishing, weeds come up easily when pulled, ferns are growing well and all those newly planted spring plants do not need watering in. Just a few more to add to your list by Kim

plants for part shade/ full shade
yellow grass, a carex I think, growing really well in a dry shade similar situation. It does depend on why it's shade/what's causing it. Under deciduous trees lots of the spring bulbs pop up, flower then die back as the tree canopy above closes up by Gardengirl..

How do I get rid of ivy and wild asparagus vine?
which is seriously invasive it's stem is sticky and it grows a mile a minute and has berries in Autumn. It wouldn't surprise me to discover that it was them that killed the trees. If I leave any of the roots in they'll just start up again so I need by Liz Douglas

Under tree planting
but not full sun. I would say anything that grows in full sun, just be wary of the amount of moisture available though as the tree will take alot of it. Thanks Dave , could be trial and error then ... Goes from very wet (sloping field behind draining through by Bunny..
