Sambuca Nigra
are the flowers like? I presume they don't fruit? My purple-leafed elder (I don't know what variety - I inherited it) has pink elder-shaped flowers.  It grows six or seven feet in a year, so I'm guessing it would make a good-sized tree if I didn't chop it down.  I by Chris9

Talkback: Wood chip paths

Beware of Parkers Bulbs. .
Parkers Bulbs catalogues are inserted in Gardener's World magazine, unfortunately all the plants I have bought from them have either been wrong or died, except three ferns, which are not as advertised. I hadn't ordered from them for years by twirly

Good Evening FORKERS
all summer up to frosts. I usually only grow the white one, en masse wherever I have space. They contrast well with other plants. Oh yes, and the foliage is a pretty fern like leaf. You can't beat them, and they come in good colours too. Go for it by blackest

Talkback: Garden jobs for spring
tangents. Bad weather is no excuse, I should've done it ages ago but couldn't bring myself to go for minarettes, afraid they'd look like those bizarre, over-fruiting, containerised midget trees in magazines. But I shall train mine at a jaunty angle side by JaneM

Lupins laid low with infestions
