Leaving tulips in the ground

the bulbs on the compost and fill it with compost and topsoil over them. Would this be enough to let them grow and flower year after year from then on? In a word No! Some tulips will naturalise but most weaken after a season or so and you do need free by Charlie November

spring bulb crisis!

Can anyone help to stop it happening next spring ? All the buds were attacked by some insect, and I don't think anything escaped ! From Barbara in Paignton Which bulbs did you grow? I find that slugs seem to go for tulips ,daffodils-could that have by Barbara Weaving

Should i leave daffs tuplips and bluebells that haven't flowered this year dig them up? Would a feed help them to flower next year? Spring bulbs growing blind can be caused by a few things. Ive being trialling things in my garden. If they are large by jellypot

arrives. It's getting a bit late for some bulbs but you can certainly still plant daffodils and crocus, and tulips next month. Avoid snowdrops, though - they will have dried out out of the ground and probably won't grow. You can plant tulips until December by Emmaandsam Emmaandsam

Daffodil and Tulip Bulbs

the tulips out as soon as flowering is over and let them dry off, plant them later in the year. Daffodils should be left in the pots until the leaves have died down completely, then get them out promptly as they will start to grow roots again in no time. All by Zakattak

. The daffs will grow first then the tulips after so my display will last longer. ive been out yesterday buying loads and loads of bulbs from the garden centre ready to plants,,,as ive now got a extra piece of land to add to my garden,it will give a lovely by hayinwood

Sowing Poppy Seeds

't remain empty and hoped they would grow through as the foilage grows back, any advice appreciated from seasoned bulb growers many thanks. Yup, you've got it spot on. Deadhead the bulbs/ cut off any flowers for indoors. This prevents them setting seed by LeeSW1
