with general fertiliser (777), which I am doing and its shape is ok, but the leaves still grey-silver. Below is a picture taken on Monday (with some tulips "remains" on the ground... oops). Last "detail": my location is Lancaster, and the spot is my front by nadiamaz

Wallflowers
Hi there, bit of a tall order this one I think! I watched a Gardeners World program where he showed us his display of pale yellow wallflowers mixed with white tulips, I would like to grow the same, any ideas on name of wallflowers! Here's hoping by John Reynolds

dead nettle
I was going to buy a red dead nettle to plant as ground cover in a shady corner. Just wondered if there is any reason why I shouldn't just transplant some of the wild dead nettle that is growing in  the street outside? To be clear I'm not talking by tulipgirl

Too chilly to plant now?
can start perenials off early for an autumn planting. I think its best to only grow wallflowers once in the same place though. You could still plant daffodils and tulips, you will find some good bargains in the garden centers. Most daffodils flower by CuriousGardener

problem solving
and Tulips, at planting time, those that don't get put into the garden, get put into large plastic pots, I can then put them into displays where shrubs etc grow, when display finished take them out after of course, dead heading and feeding, and put them by torsi

Too late to plant Tulip/Daff bulbs?
Ive got quite a few Tulip & Daffodil bulbs left over that I didnt get around to planting last Autumn. They have been stored indoors in a cardboard box, and are in good condition. Is it too late to plant them out into tubs? If so, will they keep till by LeadFarmer
