Can we talk about viburnums?
I'm looking for a fragrant Spring flowering viburnum.  Do you have a favourite? Should I go for evergreen or deciduous - or even semi evergreen, whatever that may mean!  I have viburnum Eskimo, which has beautiful round balls of fragrant flowers by happycottontail

Mystery plants
be Viburnum tinus. How big do they grow Maggie, and when do they flower and what do they look like? There will be some sort of flower even if it's insignificant. A catkin type of flower if Silver surfer is right about 2. My guess is that1. is evergreen and 2 by Maggie jones

Looking for a cherry blossom tree
for your time, A ...I will recommend either of these two but they are not 'cherry blossom trees', but I think would suit your purpose a little better. Viburnum bodnantense 'Dawn' or 'Charles Lamont'... the former has lighter pink flowers that fade to white by Angeb
