Fruit bushes...
I've red, white and black currant bushes  along with a gooseberry bush, planted a couple of years ago, in the garden. The problem is, now they've had a couple of years to establish I've realised they are planted in an area which is too small to grow by Zoomer44

pruning damaged plants in wet conditions?
and sunny, trim a little extra off the plums and cherries that you've had to prune. That way, if any fungus has got in, you'll remove it before it does any harm. Alot of my soft fruit - blueberries, red, white and black currants, gooseberries and by nadiamaz

Fruit for amatures
be done when you're harvesting the fruits in summer. As sotongeoff suggests, strawberries are fantastic, but be warned blackbirds love them too!! How about gooseberries? Red currants and white currants too. I have redcurrants, but net them or else by ApprenticeSam

Disappointed with strawberries...
't make up for strawbewrries which taste funny though maybe they are an aquired taste   This year I've sown white and yellow strawberries for next year with the intention of clearing a veg bed just for strawberries. It seemed like a good idea when by Zoomer44

Talkback: Summer berries
!! Elder growing wild is excellent for making wine with the flowers. Or leave the flowers to turn into berries and make jam with them - easy in your microwave and the berries are a rich source of vitamin C. Hello LilaI planted red & black currant bushes by auntyskitchen
