Talkback: Pruning wisteria
We started wisteria growing up a post to the top of our pergola and it is just now reaching the canopy to start spreading. I haven't pruned it at all because I don't want branching below the canopy. This should work, shouldn't it? (Might take longer by Louise

Wisteria Alba: sudden death
My beloved young-ish but established wisteria alba failed to show any sign of life this spring, and on cutting the stems there was no green to be seen. It's on a chalky soil, at the foot of an east facing wall, but most of the growth is above by rockette

What tree is this?
I don't know if this is a huge longshot but in the image included I am wanting to create the effect of this tree to the left of the door. I was wondering if anyone knew what type of tree this was? I presume this also has something growing up it like by Daniel Williams

Strong Wire Trellis
Hi All, I've just bought a fairly mature Wisteria, going to grow it up a south facing stone wall (side of the house). I know I need to support it and understand it needs to be strong support. So I believe I need a couple of horizontal steel wires by Just Giles
