Garden arches planting - help needed
and does wildlife like it? We have a jasmine that is supposed to be growing up an arch but it's very slow growing, and also suffers from sooty mould due to scale insects. Clematis is good for combining with other, slower-growing plants. The fast-growing by trish beebe

My favourite in the winter is the Sarcococca - smells so sweetly and for a great distance. My late husband was blind for 15 years and I filled the garden with scented plants for his sake. His favourite was Sweet William and I still grow lots by Chiswickian

Some pics of my before and after garden
as with most new estates and we overcame this by putting trellis to our existing wall and fence and planted honeysuckle, pyracantha, roses, ivy, jasmine.  We also added two pergolas over which we have grown wisteria, roses and clematis.    We also added a small by Lavender Lady

chunks of my runner bean leaves and worst still most of the flowers from the pot upwards, any ideas please A new Wisteria Floribunda Cascade Grated version, was put into the ground with proprietory compost and started shooting up with a vigorous grow tip by kaycurtis

creature and just pretended to be helping. If only we could grow some extra just for the beetle that would be fine. The adult is so handsome, almost as appealing as an adult ladybird. i have two types of bubble bee in my garden and they seem to be coming by Murray Fortescue

Pam x I think the trend for "minimal" style gardening is driven not just by design but by the fact that houses and therefore gardens are getting smaller, our living spaces are shrinking and will continue to do so as world population grows. How many by Mrs Evans

difference. Do you know which plants the bees cut their leaves from in your garden? Does your sister have the same plants? Leafcutters tend to favour rose and wisteria leaves.. so if you have them growing in your garden and your sister doesn't, that could by sarahs pondlife...
