Tall Raspberries

and may have to move to a smaller property and may take trees with me. Advice please. No reason why you should not grow them in a pot, there is no real need to sink it, but if you want to that is fine.  Just remember that you have to do for a plant in a by Len Port

Autumn Colour
Hi everyone. I thought you might be interested how much the foliage of my Acer Palmatum has changed during the past few days. Do you grow this type of Acer?. I would be interested to see any photos you have or any other Autumn colour would be good by lovetogarden

it starts growing again use a lawn weed and feed preparation and with regular mowing it will look fine by the Summer It all depends on how important is is to you-but probably preferable than starting again. Thank you both for your advice. I think I'll follow by hortensia4

Contaminated Farmyard Manure
off, let it wash through. Then I'd use some on a small piece of ground and grow something cheap and easy and see what happens. It's herbicide so the chickens should be OK and the worms are in so animal life is happy with it. The stuff will already have by JULIE MCVEIGH

When to prune zebra grass?
shoots when you cut back the old. More of a problem if like me, you use elctric hedge trimmers to do the job. That's right, Berghill - grasses are one of the few plants which grow from the base of the leaf, so if you cut the tops of the new shoots off by Rozzy

.  If it has lost its leaves, it is a deciduous type and can be pruned now while it is dormant. If it is evergreen, best prune in spring or summer.  The good news is that whatever type it is, you can cut it back hard if it is really overgrown and it will grow by Leanne Weston

Rhododendron possibly dying
!!! The leaves are sagging downwards and I've noticed that they are starting to turn brown all over as if they have died. At the base of the plant there is a lot of moss growing around it. There is another rhododendron in the same border which is perfectly by Garden-Girl

  Depends how big you want them to be, if I don't brutalise ours back to the first set of buds then they would run riot. As it is, even with that amount of a prune, they grow to five feet tall. You can also remove the woodiest stems right now too.   Thats by nanna26
