Talkback: Growing ornamental poppies

Is anyone growing Asian pears?
I know they grow as far north as Korea, but pears in general don't do well in Scotland (I'm told) so I don't know if Asian pears are worth trying.  Any survival?  Any fruit? Thanks by Laura Corin

Growing fennel bulbs...
This was the 2nd year trying to grow bulb fennel. The rain has suited because none of the plants have bolted, they look healthy but the bulbs  are still quite small, are they likely to get much bigger and when do you harvest. by Zoomer44

Growing plants in winter?
Just a thought. Was wondering this time of year if it's worth or possible to grow some plants in doors on the window ledge in a propagater? Or would they just be week and leggy. I normally do this in the Spring but get a bit bored this time of year by ziggy
