Plum trees
Had good crop of plums this year, but when opened, had little pink wormlike grubs in them-how can I prevent this? Hi Ivor, Pink grubs are a sign of plum moth.  The only thing you can do is spray the tree at the right time.  You can get pheremone by Ivor

vine weevil
Over the winter my potted plants that have been sheltering undercover in the polytunnel seem to have become infested with vine weevil grubs - even my nectarine tree has the little white creatures in the soil. I can't water the pots with Provado by GillT

Vine Weevil
weevils do love strawberries! There's no guarantee the grubs won't eat the immature roots of your veg, but it might deter them (I've never heard of vine weevils eating carrots, parsnips and leeks). It's a good idea to lay a thick layer of gravel over by Tracey Curnock

Root destroying insects
that cause the damage-I think we need a bit more info-are they just on the roots? Is it the insects eating the roots or is it their grubs? A common cause of root destruction is vine weevils. which look like little black beetles. Their curved, whiteish grubs by Sue31

strange scrapy-type holes in lawn.
'm thinking it might be them - but why?   Any ideas?    Foxes probably, grubbing out critters such as worms and grubs they can hear moving underground.  I have a similar problem but it's my dogs digging for moles in their tunnels. Thank you - I wonder if a by chickenlady

fuchsia leaves
Can you check to see if vine weevil grubs have eaten the roots? I believe that fuchsias are one of their favourite plants. I agree with Kate - if they are in pots, tip an affected plant out and look for 'C' shaped Vine Weevil grubs by Trevor Challands
