tree lillies
if there are more but so far they are ok   I wonder if the spider has been eating the lily beetle or the grubs, and this has turned it pink?  It's probably the beetle that has been decimating your lilies, it's bright red, the eggs are laid on the underside by sandra richards

Feeding meal worms to my nesting blue tits
without me supplying it but this year I'm still feeding. Your right, the tits still go out and return with grubs/flies etc. I think feeding live meal worms etc helps take some of the strain off the parents, and gives them something to eat as well. Packed by LeadFarmer

lily beetle
to get rid of these? I grow a few  lilies and there is a systemic insectiside which kills the grubs as soon as they hatch.  I don't use it as I don't use chemicals but i will track it down for you if you want.  I just watch my lilies carefully and as soon by sal3

Talkback: Vine weevil
'm very familiar with vine weevils having caught and crushed hundreds over the years, but I can't say I know what their grubs look like, so wouldn't it be possible for GW to do a feature on pests and show pictures of the adults and grubs. It would also by kaycurtis

Talkback: Vine weevils again
pretty with raindrops or frost on them at this time of year? Vine Weevils, well if you are not going to kill them your plants will die, the grubs should be dug up and fed to the birds, the birds can't dig them up because they are too deep for the birds by Chalkweed

with the grubs, pure white c shaped maggots with black noses. I was amazed at how many! Actually, vine weevils can climb very well indeed (even up glass!), but they can't fly, as you say.  I've even had them in hanging baskets supported only by wire, so by shize56

Talkback: Bug hunt and rosemary leaf beetle
Although the others you describe are probably the harlequin ladybird, Harmonia axyridis, your metallic stripy 'ladybird' is almost certainly a rosemary leaf beetle, Chrysolina americana. Look out for the pale grey grubs, up to 10 mm long, sitting by caitlin
