I was given some of these late in the season and they're obviously not going to get to flowering before the frosts. Are they annuals or tender/half hardy perennials? If I dig one up and bring it into a cold greenhouse might it survive long enough by Angie 3

What flower seeds could I sow outside now to flower this year?
now would be lovely - I have run out of money for plants but could stretch to a few more seeds! Calendula would do fine now. As would cornflowers and nigella and a far few more. Pretty much any half hardy annuals will flower this year, and should by PaperFlowers

Rudbeckia in Planters
someone will. I thought Cherry Brandy was a tender short lived perennial, but Sarah Raven lists it as a half hardy annual. Anyway, it's usually thrown away after the frosts and re-sown under cover in early spring or bought as a plug plant. Thompson by Dave Cooper-Hughes

weedy neglected patch of a town garden
out after frosts are over. Hardy annuals, like love-in-a mist, calendulas etc you can just sow the seeds in your prepared soil. Certain half-hardy annuals, like cosmos, nasturtiums you can sow when it's warmer. Otherwise, if budget allows, just buy by Dusty bluebells

Leucanthemum 'Broadway Lights'
leave them there? Hi Gracie5. They are a hardy perennial, a Shasta daisy, that should be planted in the border, in sun or half  shade. I have one in my garden and it has been in flower all summer, just starting to go over now so am dead heading by Gracie5
