Leaving tulips in the ground
be the sticking point. Good luck. It really is hardy worht growing hybrid tulips to come back year on year as most of them don't.  I do have a few that have retuned for several years, but mostly I regard them, especially ones grown in pots, as annuals.  They by Charlie November

to be done with the rose. I am housebound, so could only use what was in the house - no containers or bags of compost. Half a bag of bulb fibre - no good, no nutrients. A bag of houseplant compost, full of good stuff, and another of compost meant by happymarion

I can't even grow from seed!!!!!!!
. I check on the trays twice a day and if need be, water at tea-time. But NEVER at night. This trick has always worked and at times I've had 50 or more trays going at any one time.   Yeah, my hand did get achy. hahaha The salvias are a half-hardy by Bagz

window boxes are a wash out this year
I live in a flat with a balcony and love containers and window boxes   I grew everything from seed this year to cut the cost so it was months of work and I have to say looking today half way through August I've finally admittied to myself its now by grai

Plants still in flower?
much different garden tomorrow.  Perhaps I should have picked myself a bunch of rosebuds after all. Still have hardy fuchsias in flower bless 'em and I'm in the Midlands! Also have some pelargoniums in pot that I forgot to take in and they're fine by Kate Bradbury
