Hedgehogs
I've just been reading about hedgehogs. Apparently surveys show that hedgehog populations have dropped by almost 50% over the past 25 years. One of the things you can do to help them is to leave a small gap in your garden boundary so they can move by Emma Crawforth

Hedgehog Watch!!!
We've had two hedgehogs hibernating in our garden over the winter - one of them woke up last night - there was hedgehog poo on the pathway at the side of the house - I don't know which one it was - I've placed a little twig across the entrance by Dovefromabove

hedgehogs
For years we had the pleasure of a resident family of hedge hogs. Sadly we havent seen any for the past 2 years or so.  I know there is a big decline in the hedge hog population, but our garden is as "hedgehog friendly" as we can posssibly make it by Ekay

Hedgehogs near extinction
After advice on here that any small hedgehogs (less than 650g or small enough to fit into your hand) should be rescued at this time of year and taken to a hedgehog rescue centre as they just won't be big enough to make it through the winter by Lunarz

of the disturbance. Thanks for highlighing their plight! Alas, I have none to save, but those who do should take note! I used to see hedgehogs quite often in our garden but haven't spotted one this year. I have seen what I'm sure is hedgehog 'poo' though & I think by Liz Ward
