My first Hedgehog inhabitant
Having been aware of hedgehogs in the garden and passing through, last year I made a hedgehog house out of two wineboxes and put it in a quiet corner, surrounded by some logs and under a small acer tree.  Last weekend I found my dog, trying to dig by Lesley, Cardiff

Very underweight hedgehog found on doorstep
Got home this evening and found a small hedgehog on front door step. Stepped over him and got kitchen scales and then back out and weighed him and he is 284g, well below survivable hibernation weight. Might seem unlikely the chap would survive by Tim Burr

and not something else like squirrels. I don't think it is rats doing storage-might be squirrels-my other worry is can hedgehogs get to this poison? There no squirrels, and the hedgehogs can't get to the bait.  As you say, they may be covering for storage by brockley

that it was a hedgehog looking for food, but now it may be birds looking for leather jackets, although I really don't have any evidence of either. Anyone got any ideas? by Euni Nicholson
