At wits end with carrots and slugs
resident hedgehog and loads of frogs in the garden. Tried again this year and had very successful germination only for them all to disappear only three days later. I know it's a perennial question but does anyone have any ideas.   What is really odd by Auntiemand

I have 8 foot fences sourrounding my garden - we have hedgehogs visiting and found a young one just the other night! The only way in is to climb over the fences. Thanks Jan I am encouraged - I will try some hedgehog food to entice them up the bank by Jane P

Pigeon problem
Last year my six cabbages were shredded by wood pigeons.  How do I stop this happening again?  Netting isn't an option as I'm about to give a home to a hedgehog and don't want to risk it getting entangled. Wyevale are selling large netted cloches by chrissierw

I have a hedgehog house and nesting box and both are being used,I have a single blue tit that roosts in the nest box over night and the hedgehog has been using his house everynight,he hasnt gone into hibernation yet,but will as soon as it gets a bit by i grown my own

there. If it's sort of joined up translucent globules, sorry terrible descrption, then it could be water retaining gel, especially if you've added to any pot compost that has ended up in the garden. If it's dark brown slime then hedgehog poo an option by Lesley10

the advice everyone   bananarama, I love your avatar piccie. I have rescue hedgehogs and recently met some week-old hoglets being cared for by the rescue lady. Aaaah:- ) Thanks Flobear, we found this hedgehog in the garden a couple of years ago. Looked after by bananarama

suggestions.  The culprits are still unidentified, but I still blame slugs/snails as our garden is full of them.  We need hedgehogs. Sadly, earlybirdellie, you won't have hedgehogs if you scatter slug pellets about! I live in an area that is known to be by lennypearce
