Absolutely enormous slug
titled "Slugs" You put in yor hnand????????????? Lunarz , Please could you add your nearest town ,thank you J I'm always picking them up - putting them in the green bin or in the hedgehog bowls.  But this one was a bit too big even for me!  I was so by Lunarz

Talkback: Spiders in the compost bin
and plant waste from the garden. there is a lot of life in a compost bin,worms of every size and shape,earwigs,and allsorts of creepy crawlies,mice and rats,fox and cat sit on top and I wish I could say hedgehog.I have toads and newts in the greenhouse. by TonyCal

No balls!!!
destroying our plant then try to put it right!We cant just have what we want and like,and people like that are short -sighted but its much the same for those pave over  the gardens the main reason hedgehogs are going on the endangered list. by natureboy838

Say NO to slug food.
up.  Not even beer traps, grit, egg shells will stop them. I have a hedgehog - he must be on a diet.  I have frogs - they must be picky. I am done spending money on slug food.   So, please anyone, do you have any ideas for replacements by Amanda Livingstone

Slugs and snails - help needed!!
problem anywhere else. I'm sure there are plenty, but they are not a problem. And of course, hedgehogs, birds and frogs will take out a good number.Here's one of my hostas... no pellets... no weird solutions... just a regular check...   'no weird solutions by fraggle84

you see. I am having similar problems with slugs and thought my remedy would be a resident hedgehog but a friend has just advised me to install a mini pond to attract frogs and wildlife and this should sort out my problem with the slugs I'm not sure by diggingdoris

10/10 for Persistence!
celandines becamed shrivelled and parched.    When I eventually remembered them they looked unsalvageable and I tipped them out of the pot onto the pile of roots behind the hedgehog house and forgot about them .... until this morning ....  and there they are by Steve Johnson
