Ants in a Herb Garden
We have a Community Herb Garden in which we grow Thyme. Unfortunately Ants are building nests under the spreading thyme and destroying them. What can we do?     Ants love dry ground, is there any way that you can make it damper to deter them?  I had by marigold3

Raised herb garden
I am planning a raised herb garden this year and wonder what plants/ flowers would make good companions? marigolds the old fashion sort,nastursiums,comfrey(although this can be big and take over useful if kept in check) lavender by Bookwormy

Difference between garden centre and grocery store herbs
Is there a difference between garden centre grown herbs and the one you get in your local grocery store? I bought a thyme plant from a grocery store a few days ago and today when I visited the garden centre, although the thyme scent were exactly by Kitty Jingga

LARGE SLANTED GRIT CONTAINER WITH LID......

can someone please help! I have a large container which i use as my herb garden, but have recently noticed worm like creatures poking out of the soil.  I thought at first one was an old coil spring from a pen,sort of browny in colour,  long by mimms
