How do I get rid of earwigs?
Earwigs are destroying everything I plant at the moment (salad/brassicas/herbs/clematis). It's definitely earwigs as I've done a midnight raid with a torch & it's swarming with them. I've tried upturned flowerpots with straw in, but this barely by JD BATH

One for the ladies...
Maybe not just the ladies..maybe the laddies too? Do you use any of your herbs or plants for personal uses? I dont mean smoke them   lol, I mean as in health benefits, beauty regimes or medicinal purposes?   I like to think that alot of my own by Sam Glendinning

Alternative lawn
I am in th process of creating two raised lawn areas in my garden but would like to use something other than traditional grass, has anyone any ideas / advice.  I would like a neat and tidy appearance and it will need to withstand traffic as the herb by Joanne Shackleton

Weed?
Hello,   Please can any one advise if this is a weed  or what is it?   i get lots of this in my garden, if you leave it it gets purple flowers on, if its the same one im thinking of, you could call it a wild flower, i just pull them out, they come by Cat 2

weed or not is entirely down to you. Some people love and keep all wild flowers, some hate the lot.    how invasive is this Herb Robert? im practically at the start of a very, very long road of trying to look after the garden a bit better. we have by djjjuk

Herb - Sweet cicely
.  It was one of several different plants which I bought when I attended a herb course at the Weald & Downland museum.  The lady told us that you could use it to sweeten rhubarb but I hate rhubard!  I ended up nibbling it occasionally when I was gardening.  I by Trish3

they must be readily available; the problem is finding the right name for them. You could try variations on hanging planters/ plastic wall mounted planters etc. I have seen them richly planted with cascading begonias. It would not suit my garden by clogherhead

Daughter 's wedding
to transport them from Cumbria to Sussex. Thanks in advance for any help. Your best bet would be small terracotta pots of herbs, you would be able to pick these up very economically the week before the wedding and they would travel quite happily. They would by bennie

Square Food Gardening!
with constant weeding and top dressing with compost to maintain maximum growth and soil fertility.   It might work as a low maintenance herb garden as, if it's sheltered in winter and well drained for the woody Meditarranean herbs, they'd stay in place for years by Jimmy Holl
