Talkback: Growing herbs
I have got two small pots of mint and a pot the rosemary and a bay tree. I am going to have a go at growing Coriander, never grown it before. Couldn't live without my herbs, if nothing else the smell of them is just wonderful. I'm trying by donutsmrs

Herb - Sweet cicely
among my cllection of herbs I have been growing for several years is Sweet cicely. Pretty ferny foliage and white flowers at this time of year followed by black seeds.I have been told that you can use it to reduce the amount of suger when cooking by Trish3

Herbs from seeds
plants with a bit of 'bulk' to them. The same question applies to other herbs like parsley and corriander.  Regards Glyn If you pick out the tips of basil and space the plants out a bit, they'll fill out a bit more than the supermarket plants - in fact by Glyn Evans

Talkback: Culinary herbs pot display
can you grow forest flame from a cutting of an already healthly plant why does this pot need bubble wrap and polystyrene chips when other pots with herbs don't seem to? what is the bubble wrap for? This is for a window sill box, so I assumed by barbsf84

I'm the kiss of death to herbs it seems......
kitchen windowsill  but to no avail...I have to resort to buying the supermarket herb pots which also keel over on me within a week and a half....any idea where I'm going wrong? I use Marshalls, Unwins and Suttons seeds...  Apart from all the obvious by The Manic Slughunter:)

Difference between garden centre and grocery store herbs
Is there a difference between garden centre grown herbs and the one you get in your local grocery store? I bought a thyme plant from a grocery store a few days ago and today when I visited the garden centre, although the thyme scent were exactly by Kitty Jingga

all veg and herb and what to do now
potatos, cabbage, brocali, beetroot, carrots, onions, garlic, lettice and mangetout peas in the raised beds, all were planted at the start of march. Also i have a hugh herb pot with, mint, lemon balm, thyme, roesmary, chive and coriander, all are sprouting by tommysmith

brand new large slanted grit container to grow herb in...

Where can I buy seeds or plants ? I have seven already , must get the other three: angelica , caraway and fennel. I'm including a herb garden into my new plot and will take this info onboard. Don't think I'll grow the nettles deliberately by catwoman1
