Cutting back Poppies
and will they reflower this year??? Don't go mad just remove any broken stems and damaged leaves etc-the "chelsea chop" does not really apply to poppies more the herbaceous perennial plants-with a bit of luck, depending on the variety, it will flower again this year by Loz

what to plant
backardee i will try one of those Mine push up through just about any herbaceous perennial, but are particularly nice through alchemilla mollis as they flower lime greenĀ under the purple alliums, or through persicaria 'dimity' as that flowers well after by Aliesh

What is this pretty plant, please?
Can anyone identify this pretty little flower? I was walking down the road when my friend spotted it and luckily I had my camera with me. It looks like it may be an herbaceous perennial but other than that I haven't a clue. The flowers are only by leisurelypainter

plants on a tree lined back drop
"country" look with herbaceous borders. any tips for big gardens also much appreciated. Thanks As silver birch look so good in winter when the sun is on their stems, I'd emphasise the interest with good evergreens such as holly which can be plain green by biggarden_smallknowledge

moving established plants
this. Thankyou It's not too late to move herbaceous perennials especially with all the rain we've been having. Just dig them up with as much root-ball as possible and you may need to reduce the foliage to lessen the stress to the plant. Thankyou by patannie

Mexican Orange Blossom
soil, in raised bed with an acer, a rose and some herbaceous perennials. Not so much as a sign of a flower. Am I doing something wrong or is it just time and maybe not so much rain as this year? How big is it? The plant sounds as though it is settling by freshairfanatic
