moving blackcurrant bush
I would like to improve a bed where a big blackcurrant is planted. I would like to improve the whole bed, and so for this, I need first to move the bush into a planter so that I can fork, add coarse grit and sow green manure in all the bed. Should I by nadiamaz

snakeshead fritillaries and ladysmock disappear from wonderful old meadows that have been devastated by 'improvement'. You will get rid of rush if you improve both the drainage and fertility, but is that what you want?  What do you want to do with the meadow by cody smith

Challenging clay
Please could someone advise me on what to add to my clay soil to break it down, so that it is easier to manage when planting. u should use horse manure, it breaks the soil down really well and improves drainage. I have clay soil then bought horse by Labradouble

spears too fat
I have lots of asparagus coming up, but some of it is very fat and woody, while other spears are much slimmer.  Why are they so different and what can we do to improve the quality? Most people prefer the fat spears, but cut them sooner and trim off by Baggies2

Azalea caterpillars eaten rhodedendron
it survive.  I have plucked off the caterpillars.  Do I need to cut back the rhodedendron or do anything else to improve its health/look?? by Trucker

free seeds
Well I carefully saved my free seed packets from various gardening magazines and kept them unopened waiting for the weather to improve. So I was a little dissapointed and perhaps naive to see how few each contained. Still I won't look a gift horse by Jamjaf

Lawn with heavy clay base
