varieties or trailing look fine. Vine weevils can be a pest- you would see the tell-tale leaf notches if the pot got infested. Hardy ones can survive a reasonable winter in large, well insulated pots, but I always take cuttings of mine every year by MS NICK

Hi Adam when I take my dogs for a walk up the golf course I always walk next to the bushes as it cut down the wind speed and always feels warm than walking down the fairways,There must be savings to be made by over insulating the out side of a by oldchippy

Recycling compost from last years tomato growbags
-chopped up stuff in the compost bins, it has been colder than normal and due to critical illness in the family I didn't get the change to put more insulation round the compost bins Can I recycle the compost from last year's tomato growbags? How could I by Frank E

Needing old mouse or vole nests
is 32oC, so unless the nest box is indoors the queen needs nesting material that will provide enough insulation. She will modify and arrange what is there, but she will not add to it (carder bees are the exception). So the amount and kind of nesting by BrummieBen

then make holes the size of the pots used (lets say "3" pots) and then insert the pots into the holes, this then insulates the important part of the pot which is the part which has the roots. I made one by using this site and a video by toby buckland by Brumbull

Talkback: How to fit guttering on a greenhouse
 copper. Not a good idea. Otherwise I agree with you. Just use aluminium alloy for the brackets where possible, or insulate the metals from each other with plastic, or possibly paint the copper to minimise metallic contact between the two. Thanks by Marrowcourgette

tubers. I hope your shed is reasonably frost free. In this weather it is better to put them in a box, cardboard will do, and cover them in dry soiless compost as insulation. A cool but airy place indoors might be better, but they may start shooting which by Sallyann1964

Using Builders netting to screen greenhouse
insulation then no-you are going to need something without holes like fleece or bubble-wrap- to go on the inside-I don't think netting will help at all Debris netting is brilliant for shading. but not alot of cop for keeping heat in as it would shade by SZYMAGEO2

, look at multi-wall polycarbonate panels, as they have greatly increased insulation properties over glass (although extremely expensive double-glazed glass panels are available, too.)   We have a polycarbonate greenhouse and are very happy with it. We by Johnboy2
