slugs in the kitchen
12ft under the boards which might be where there coming from,I don't know,its a battle. If you are going to kill them,make sure the slugs are not the Leopard slugs, they are good for your garden. Sorry but slugs in the kitchen where food is cooked by flowering rose

Hi Kate lovely storey,I have been redecorating the kitchen over the last two days only to keep finding ladybird larve all over the walls inside and out I keep picking them off with a card as not to damage them and putting them on the plant by oldchippy

After the storms.......
Despite the torrential rains and wind, the ornamental grasses are still swaying and overlording the garden. Miscanthus, panicums, Calamagrostis varieties are still in flower and providing structure and movement and colour. Interspersed with red by Verdun

last years compost

kitchen windowsill now have this :( spider mites are an outdoor curse here in reno-the hot dry summers are perfect for them-soft evergreens(alberta spruce)can be killed in amatter of weeks-unfortunately people refuse to believe that they can be controlled by Valdel

spots like the thyme bed and the kitchen door as they are attracted to sugar. Seems to work. Ridiculous ... We need help, no silly prases. They can move a house to the next street.....ANY USEFUL TIPS/ADVICE? I haven't removed ants from my garden as I by suziethorne

what can I plant that's low maintenance?
kitchen-gardening so am going to put a thyme plant which is currently in a bucket out the front in the patch but that will only take up a small part of the patch...I'll also put in another rosemary and another lavender plant but have no idea what else by countrybumpkin
