Talkback: Allotment planning
, send for a kitchen garden catalogue from Dobies. This has a handy chart with sowing & planting times. Good luck! Butternut squashes are one of my favourites, good to eat especially roast and easy to grow, but I would never, ever, not grow courgettes by sarahs pond life

Ants in the lawn
in a kitchen. I have had a few ants in mine (no food left around ) and I dont like it. I like to think I am quite good when it comes to the wildlife in my garden but sometimes things have to be moved on. My grandchildren play on the lawn a lot, weather by celia2

I have a small garden and patio with not much room in the garden for a standard compost bin. I would like to have 1 just outside my back door so i can add waste direct from the kitchen. Do you have any ideas ? What tumbler would you reccomend by Andrew Short

Long garden needs design help
Afternoon As part of our house renovation we’re tackling the garden (no mean feat). The patio is pretty much complete as this is predominantly slate running out the same height as the kitchen floor. We’ve created a white block cavity perimeter wall by sanch3z
