Talkback: Autumn gardening jobs
pleasure not too much hard work. I'm a very messy gardener but am rewarded by the wildlife here - plenty of ladybirds, bugs and beetles also many tiny frogs this year and lots of birds. Nature knows best and just needs a little help from us by ChristyRose

bonuses you get from gardening - welcoming wildlife ino the space you create. I had a big influx of aphid on our poppies,roses and runner beans for about 6 weeks.I am glad to say we have had a swarm of 7 spot ladybirds and hover flies which have just about by Agatha

lumps all over body! Never mind horse flies I'm infested with huge HORNETS. They scare me to death. I want to know what use they are?Havent been bothered by horse flies even though we are only a hundred yards from stables. Had millions of ladybirds by bunnysgarden

and saying hello to the snoozy ladybirds this afternoon has never filled me with so many smiles. I hope it warms up a few degrees more so I can get my magnolias in the ground and see my welsh daffs standing along side my our dutch tulips. looking forward by JaneM

Welcome to the fruit & veg forum
have been growing crops organically in my garden for 47 years and do not get the pest troubles other gardenrs have who spray chemoicals about because the garden is in equilibrium.  Frogs, hegdehogs and birds keep down the slugs and snails; ladybirds eat by Daniel Haynes

July in the garden!!
