Greenfly by the million
is the ladybird & ladybird lavae so if you see them on the plant don't try & remove them, they might be hungry! I haven't seen a single ladybird this year, but I don't know what their larvae look like. (I only deliberately slaughter aphids and slugs though by Sara 4

Identifying beneficial insect larvae
I think we all know what greenfly look like, and can identify hatched slugs etc., but does anybody know of a book or a website which gives us pictures of the eggs and larvae of pests and of 'good' insects such as ladybird or hoverfly larve, so we by ChapelGirl2

Huge aphids!
suggestions very much appreciated. Keep doing what ya doing. Removal by hand ya best organic solution. There are products available such as lacewing larvae but lacewings as adults do damage some plants. Keep a eye out for ladybirds my garden is crawling by aitchvee

Lupins destroyed by greenfly
, there they are again the next day.  I bought a load of ladybirds, which all promptly flew away (home I guess ), and now my lupins are all dead looking, with grey/black foliage and very floppy.  Any greens bits are still smothered with greenfly.  Do you think by Lunarz

HiOn my asparagus I have asparagus beetle larvae (I missed picking off some of the eggs). I also have blackfly and another beetle which I first thought was a ladybird larvae but now realise it isn't. It's about the same size and shape by bunnysgarden

Hi I have one of those little ladybird/lacewing winter homes and wandered if anyone could tell me where to position it so insects get maximum benefit in the colder months Thanks - have a great day I don't think it is vital- I had one of those given by Lucy3

them as often as I'd like to. I have to say that it's mice we have to deal with rather than insects! We've had a few of them over the winter. If ladybirds like their hibernation site they (or their offspring) tend to go back to the same place year after by Pippa Greenwood
