last years compost
I grow potatoes and tomatoes and cucumbers in pots and grobags abd potato bags and hanging baskets every year .At the end of the season I am left with half full bags pots etc of compost which I usually put on the garden.I am struggling to find more by bartonr

What tree is this?

What screening plant to block out brick building?

Weed killer
Two weeks ago I used weed killer on weeds in the rose garden, which has worked and they are dead. What do I do next do I weed them out or digg them in? Provided they are totally dead you can either leave them (as I do, decaying weeds get recycled by newbee

I have inherited a eucalyptus bush about a foot high, which has been living in a window box for many years! My garden is tiny though and I am reluctant to plant it directly into the lawn, ad these do turn into very large trees...which root control by freshairfanatic

suckering shrubby paeony
I have a lovely yellow paeony but it's disappearing under Viburnum rhytidopyllum and a large Cotoneaster 'Rothschildianus'.  I don't want to spoil the shape of the 2 large shrubs so the paeony has to move or be swamped. I've tried to get suckers by nutcutlet

.e dig the perimeter I want it to grow out to and then put something down around the edges to stop it growing beyond that point?  Or is it best to get a large container and plant that in the ground with the bamboo? I don't have large borders (approx 2 by Garden learner

can someone please help! I have a large container which i use as my herb garden, but have recently noticed worm like creatures poking out of the soil.  I thought at first one was an old coil spring from a pen,sort of browny in colour,  long by mimms

how do I get rid of
Hogweed seems to be everywhere in my garden, I always remove flower heads before they can seed but each year there seem to be more and more throughout my garden, which is quite large. I have tried digging them out but they have such long roots I by PotterAngie
