New lawn
the same problem on the thread I was encouraged to mow more often and also used Evergreen Lawn feed the one without weed killer and it seems to be working the grass is gradually turning green and looking healther. There is some great advice on this thread by ogster

as I do for beds? Can I just topsoil the lawn area or as I’m digging over the whole garden, is this a golden chance to improve all the soil? The bigger dilemma may be keeping my 4 year old daughter off the grass for 3 weeks...! Thank you. I had a by briand

lawn problems
Hi, I got a new lawn this year and we laid it by turf. It was perfectly fine but i mowed it 2 months later and I think it over cut so there are many yellow patches in my lawn and  It also looks dry. Are there any feeds that I can use in August by gardenflower

lawn edging shears
I'm fond of lawn edging shears. There is a very satisfying sound as they snip through lush grass. The worst part of the job is picking up your clippings afterwards. Some people favour electrical devices, but they still leave you with the same by Emma Crawforth

Lawn maintainace
We laid a new lawn in April on the back plot. I have been intending to scarify, airate and dress this Autumn, but have had no time inbetween the rain until now. Our beautiful green new turf has developed yellow blades this autumn and the lawn by Pebble Garden

Weird egg type shapes on my wet grass
Not got the greatest of lawns but boyfriend noticed this morning large patches of egg shaped stuff on the grass/moss/weeds! It looks like small grapes, are they some kind of buf larvae? Seem quite large for bugs though, any ideas would be helpfuly by Leanne Pugh

I want my lawn to look perfect (doesn't everybody) but its riddled with dandelions, maybe more weeds than grass, and i need to know a quick, costeffective way to get rid of them.  any help??? Hi, for the past 3 years I have also had this problem by Richard Clarke

New House, Old Lawn
All, We've recently moved into a new house, which is great, but whilst the front lawn is fine, just in need of a re seed and borders dug, the back is a mess. Its covered in doc, clover, long grass, nettle and a massive patch of bramble, we have low by Paul Roberts
