New Lawn; to feed or not to feed
slower as the days shorten and the temperatures drop I would leave well alone and apply a spring lawn weed and feed treatment next year -grass is pretty resilient You can spot treat the broad leaf weeds in the meantime or just grub them out by Nick thomas

Cats
To avoid cats leaving their mess on your garden/lawn put down plastic snakes. I have even visited a garden where they had lots of plastic snakes and people wondered what they were for. Cats don't seem to like them at all. They are cheap to buy by LM
