Mossy lawn

Small Garden Needs Ideas
-mow it once a week and do not cut it too short-depends on what sort of mower you use-but if you can adjust the height then bring it up a notch Don't start doing anything just yet-it is too early Thanks sotongeoff. Getting a good lawn is primary concern, then i by briffster

Birds trying to nest in my potting shed
Some advice please. Last year a bird nested in my potting shed down the bottom of the garden. I ended up with bird poo all over my lawn mower and the sad sight of dead baby bird fallen from the nest. Plus I got divebombed every time I went in there by Ali Newbie Gardener

=nectar+rich+plant+list&sa=SEARCH If you have a lawn, you need a mower - where are you going to keep it? Maybe consider doing without a lawn in such a small space. A mediterranean garden with stones and gravel, interplanted with lavenders, rosemary, cistus, etc and some grasses could look by Martin JA

Evergreen Lawn
Hi I have had a new lawn laid about 3 months ago, it has started to look a bit thin, we gave it a feed of Evergreen this week and used the applicator. My question is on the packaging it says use regularly but how regular and how can I thicken it up by Chris9

Over the last three years my once beautiful lawn has been devastated by wormcasts, They appear in there hundreds regulary at anytime of year including winter. It was once a pleasure to cut my luxuriant, lush, grass but now the mower simply flattens by BILLYC

The long game

Bosch AVR 1100 verticutter
with the petrol rotary mower but as the leaves were wet quite a few remained and became compacted into the lawn. I decided to go over it again with the verticutter and am delighted with the results I achieved, I had it on its highest setting so the tines just by Norm2
