couch grass
green, does it really matter if it's in the lawn?  It's green and grassy.   The main thing is to keep your edges trimmed and stop it escaping into the borders where it is a nightmare to weed. They do say that frequent mowing encourages the finer grasses by ian strang

spring lawn feed via a spreader
Can anyone advise what is a good spring feed for lawns using a spreader?  Our lawn has moss and weed through it so will give it a rake and aerate it first but have no idea what feed is good to use at this time of year. Immediately-do nothing by Gill Lindfield

Weeping trees dragging on the ground
? It'll be fine. Trim the cherry in June/July when it is dry and sunny; the cotoneaster can be done at any time. Many thanks, I'll do that. I'm fed up with having bark all over the lawn and a bare patch of weed suppressant under the trees! by nightingalebrook

Bad lawn
but the front is in need of an overhaul. If it is the state you describe -it is probably compacted and short of nutrient-you could go through a whole lawn weed/feed ritual-then reseed but honestly I would dig it up, get some organic matter in and prepare by GW

Right, I want my lawn to thicken up, and try and get rid of the weeds in it. So, I've just spread my fertiliser and moss killer, (well at start of week day before it's piddled down) and now I'm going to religously cut the lawn twice a week. I shall by BrummieBen

Moss
My front lawn has a great deal of moss amongst the grass.  If I put down a moss killer, I am afraid I will have an almost bare lawn.  What should I do? If you use a moss killer with a weed and feed treatment combined that will help-when the moss had by jenniferrussell
