New Lawn; to feed or not to feed
Hi, I sowed a new lawn 4 months ago and it seemed to thrive really quickly because of all the rain in June and July.  It's now starting to go a bit brown and has lots of broad leaf weeds throughout it.  The ground was previously covered in gravel by Nick thomas

Save my lawn
of compost and then reseeding now while it's warm and damp.   Come autumn, apply a general purpose autumn weed and feed for lawns to the whole area.  Repeat in spring with the spring formula.   Don't cut the grass too short either as this stresses the roots by Wilde

Mossy lawns
Our lawn is a third weeds, third moss and third grass.  Is there any benefit to weed and feed products? If money isn't an issue, I'd go for a product called Mo Bacter. It's an organic fertiliser which also has the added benefit of being a very good by mummy greenfingers

Talkback: Clover in lawns

Talkback: Common daisy
. Who was it said a weed is a plant in the wrong place! I just bought common daisy seeds for my lawn from Naturescape.co.uk as it is time consuming transplanting the daisies to new areas suffering from grass monoculture syndrome. I think the commom daisy by donnabbc

Neglected Garden
but how hard is this to achieve?  2. The grass is not a nice lawn, its wild patchy grass. What can be done about this? 3. The ivy and weeds! What is the best way of removing these.  Help me please!      It's not THAT bad - I have rampant brambles in my by Dani167

Talkback: Weeds and weather
me wonder about the definition of a so-called WEED. Dandelions are a wonderful source of food for finches but particularly Bull finches. We have many dandelions in our lawn and currently each morning we see a pair of Bull finches feeding - they love by kaycurtis20002000@yahoo.co.uk

weed supressing membrane
Does anybody know how long weed suppressing membrane has to be in position to kill and established lawn stone dead? I would imagine at least 6 months, 1 month has been suggested. I can't find written documentation on the test being actually carried by Jennifer Deegan

Orange Hawkweed (Hieracium auantiacum)
Hello, I moved to a new house last November which happens to be built on cleared woodland land.  I noticed in early spring a lot of hair spiky leaved weeds around the lawn edge an in the borders, then some flower shoots appeared with ornage flowers by Angel26654
