Wildflower turf
Hi! Has anybody laid wildflower turf? we are about to lay 3x2m strips that are very thin and have a plastic net underneath. If we dig up the grass the wildflower will sit below ground level so we were wondering if we could just lay it over by Loz

Ground Elder
My garden is covered in ground elder which I have been trying to tackle by digging over, removing as much as possible and spraying with weedkiller for over a year now.  I want to lay a new lawn. Is there a membrane I can use under the new turf by Glassgirl

At a loss with my lawn....
laying time. I would spread compost on the top too before laying the turf. And dwarf rye grass for the turf is very hardwearing. Weeds will grow but, as I have already said, they can be mown out or treated with lawn weedkiller when the lawn is 6 months by Pumphead

NEW LAWN - NEED TO WATER!!
while. I agree with the other comments, wait until it warms up a bit and give it a good water. You may have to give it a feed aswell.  Just a word of caution-laying turf in the winter is the worse time of year-all that is supporting that turf is the soil by steve 5

New lawn
and were in an even worse state than the front anyway, what do I need to do to prepare the ground to lay turf over the area. There'll be borders and beds eventually. I know at some point I'll have to compact the ground but I don't fancy shuffling over by shilo

moss
that rather than top soil-you can buy it in bags or a load So yes remove the old turf -rotovate the soil -add the organic matter-fertilizer- level soil-lay turf. It is not as simple as that-have a look at youtube for some instructional videos or have a read by martin white
