Chelsea chop
back which was quite nice too 'Iceberg'.  I grow 'Autumn Joy' and one called 'Matrona'...   I think to keep them compact you should lift and divide in Spring otherwise they will grow big and flop over...   mine are a bit behind this year, but I do love by Clancy22

Talkback: Agapanthus
. Be patient, and see what new growth develops. REmember that agapanthus usually like being reasonably pot bound, so don't lift and divide too frequently. Hello i've inherited a garden full of agapanthus, and all the leaves are still there from last year by dotsthots

Wildflowers - to dig over soil before planting or not?
wildflowers are more robust than others. You may already have one - the goldenrod. It's not an English wildflower, but it is a wildflower in North America. You could lift and divide some clumps of that, and spread them around. I can remember the 'old by Barry Hayter

Help, are these plants ok for my small wildlife pond?
water level. Your plants sound great and I'm sure you have more than enough. I can never understand why water plants are so expensive as they grow so fast. You will soon be dividing your lily (a couple of years)and lifting out pond weed as it overtakes by Jody Lovatt

"desirable" plants that become invasive monsters
exhuberant in my garden and I may have to get ruthless with it this year.  Phlomis Russeliana is self seeding very happily and so needs rooting out a bit this year and lysomachia clethroides alba needs lifting, dividing and giving away as it's a bit too happy by Verdun

Do these grow through plants?
what grows.  Take photos and make notes of gaps to fill and plants to replace/lift/divide/remove and have some annuals on standby to plug gaps. All plants have an optimum size or eventual size and, to do their best, need the space to get the light by Adam Young

My new project. Where do I start!
(obviously after a good tidy up and top soil added to the border bit) as it only receives sun until about 1-2pm at the moment, then it's just shade. I would love to concrete over the lot and build a dividing wall between grass and patio, but not possible by Insomnia1973
