and then transplanted them to the garden, after that they disappeared, I think the severe winter we had 2 years ago finished them off, should have lifted them and stored.. Very pretty though. by ameturegardener1972

Storing Dahlia Tubers
is in South Bedfordshire. Many thanks. This is what I do and it works for me-lift,cut stems to around 6 inches prop upside down to drain on sheets of newspaper-after about a week cover with layers of newspaper. Mine are stored in the greenhouse -it is unheated by Malcolm Harrison

Dahlia Tubers
?  The tubers are soil free and in great condition so don't want to risk losing them. Hi Sallyann Ive got mine stored in my shed in a seed tray and they seem just fine. I will be planting mine when the weather is warmer. They say that they should be lifted by Sallyann1964

Talkback: Knowing your onions
I have grown and successfully stored onions for about five years now, usually managing to grow enough to last up until the next years crop is ready for lifting. I always buy 'Setton' as sets to plant out in late winter/early spring and after lifting by kenneth

Begonia Corms
Despite my advance years I am a novice gardener.  I am advised to lift my begonias, wait for the foliage to die, remove the excess earth, sprinkle with BULB DUST, wrap individually and store in a cool dry place until next spring. What is BULB DUST by Carol Thomas

SBK Brushwood and Tree Stump Killer, which you will find in your garden centre or local large DIY store. Follow the instructions on the box. Thanks a stack.  I'll try the SBK first. SBK is very good but it does take time to kill the stump, best to drill by dereck
