Hellebores
they form nice evergreen mounds to offset other plants. Quite a low maintenance system too. But, what a glorious show hellebore orientalis provide. Well worth the space. I love them. I'm watching them building up for it now. Just need to get all those by Tim Burr

Toad spawn
have a few questions for you, though! When did you "start" your pond? How big is it? Whereabouts in your garden is it? What plants are there? Where did the spawn come from? i.e. did a frog/toad lay it in your pond or did you bring it from somewhere else by finty

having a moan about...
Why oh why does this Winter seem to be dragging? Is it that it's cold and wet and I can't get into my garden for more than 5 minutes before I'm soaked and freezing? I cannot wait for Spring to finally show its face! I think we all feel the same by ilovemontydon

Welcome to the plants forum
is the fact that you can be sure of the sex of the new plant and avoid, or deliberately choose, to produce a tree with 'interesting' scented fruits. Hardwood cuttings are also low-maintenance and usually trouble free. Please do let us know about the progress by Daniel Haynes

May In Your Garden

Gardeners World - not back for 4 weeks!
My husband and I were so disappointed to see due to 'sporting' events that our 'gardening' TV is being put on hold! Its Summer, a key time to garden, what is the BBC thinking! There is so much other repeats on the TV, I am sure they can find a slot by Gardeners Wife
