Dealing with the impact of trees and shade
tall, and paving the rest.  We have put a couple of beds in by taking up some paving, and have installed some raised beds onto of the decking.  Despite trying to keep the decking maintained and painted it is now starting to rot and really needs by Katy H

Train Station Gardens
on the southampton central to portsmouth line Now I know-when passing will have a look-thanks I am not far from Leamington Spa station, in Warwickshire.A couple of years ago, the garden there, which was maintained by volunteers, received an award from Country Life by Gardengirl..

Who can Identify this?

Greenhouse recommendations
is like buying a car- there is one to suit all pockets Aluminium would be cheaper and require little or no maintenance, wood would be more expensive and possibly require maintaining, personally I would look at something like geoff has suggested . I've got by tomalli

Restore and revive
rosemary too.A couple of grasses and how about some heathers for winter colour.Mounds, spikes and scent and easy care ...for.me. A lot more information is needed here-what size is this area?-what is the budget?-who will maintain it? And as always a picture by Dianne Jarrett

Lawn not so good

ahs variegated foliage and then the lime green of Cornus sericea 'Flaviramea'.   All will need pruning back in spring to maintain the colourful stems but you could do them in alternate years or just take out a third of the old stems every year. You by Kate42

Border plant
looking hedge. Mix with Red Robin and plant annuals or bulbs around the hedge and I think that will tick all your boxes. Laurels are a good choice look nice and can be maintained, avoid connifers they absorb all the goodness and will kill off any grass by kru
